Our beloved Prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him) said: “The performance of Umrah is an expiation for the sins, committed between this Umrah & the previous one; and the reward of the Hajj Mabrur (i.e. accepted) is nothing but Jannah”.

The Three(3) Kinds of Hajj
Hajj Ifrad: The pilgrim declares the intention to perform Hajj only. The pilgrim gets into the state of Ihram only for Hajj & takes it off on the day of sacrifice.
Hajj Qiran: The pilgrim declares the intention to perform both Hajj & Umrah simultaneously with the same Ihram. The pilgrim declares the intention to perfo
Hajj Tamattu: The pilgrim declares the intention to perform Umrah only during the months of Hajj (Shawwal, Zul-Quiaddah & the first eight days of Zul Hijjah). The pilgrim performs Umrah & then removes Ihram after it. The pilgrim then declares the intention to perform Hajj, from Makkah, following the Hajj rites. All what was forbidden during the state of Ihram for Umrah is allowed (till 8th of Zul Hijjah) after removing the Ihram for Umrah (i.e. use of normal garments, sexual intercourse, etc.).
